topic 4 to do:
my opinion about the real applicability of non-market production and related strategies in my main field of activities!

I used to work in human language technology field and in this field one of the big problems is data sparseness. many translation, speech to text and text to speech, error correction ,... systems use large corpora of such data to build models.
data that is needed for this type of model building has to do with natural language, in written and spoken forms. generating such data can be very difficult and time and force consuming if defined as a commercial task; but it is something that we use and generate in our daily life. and if large community of people put small amount of time and effort to add something to a, lets say, translation corpus, the final result can be very effective in this research field as well as related practical tools.
